The plans before buying a laptop

Before buying a laptop, we should do a plan, so that we will not regret after buying it. What is the plan containing? Let's have a look.
Basically, go read the recommended requirements on your favorite video game and then try to at least double that as far as the video graphics card and RAM is concerned! Now, you need to make sure that the video graphics card is a dedicated rather than a shared. Shared means that the computer will be sharing, or pulling resource memory from your RAM, rather than standing on its on and acting as an independent memory source.

* Determine Needs - A laptop purchase should not be an impulse buy, based on a colorful ad. The purchase decision should, first and foremost, be driven by need. Why does the consumer need a laptop? Why a laptop instead of a desktop? What will the laptop be used for? If email and basic word processing, a multimedia powerhouse is not necessary. If, however, the person plans to do graphic design work, a Celeron with limited RAM simply won't do. Start with need.

* Prioritize Desirables - After needs have been determined, consumers should make a list of "wants" -- desirable features and accessories that would complement the purchase. These should be prioritized.

* Establish Budget - The bottom line is that consumers can't always afford a laptop with everything they want. A realistic price range should be set, based on the consumer's budget, including how much he or she is able or willing to save in preparation for the purchase.

* Research - Once the consumer has determined his or her needs, prioritized the "wants," and set a price range, it's time to shop. Consumers should look for the best deals in retail outlets as well as online.

What Do You Need it For?

You might be a student who needs a laptop in order to type during class, you might in fact, be a salesperson who is interested in making presentations to various clients and maybe you're an executive manager who spends all of your time on flights and work on your laptop from your seat.

Which Processor to Choose

The processors market contains a variety of processors no less confusing than in the desktop market. We'll try to make simple order. Intel's recent processors series is called Centrino, and we're talking about an entire series of processors in price ranges, speeds and different performances.

Should Used Computers be Purchased?

Contrary to desktop computers, in which case it is best to stay away from used ones, with laptops the situation is a little different. Their high prices and technology's fast pace can turn last year's state of the art computer into a ridiculously low-priced computer. On the other hand, used laptops are riskier.

Why is Weight Important?

In the world of laptop computers it's convention to divide the computers into a few types according to their weight. The logic is simple: the heavier the weight the less the computer is portable. Much to our disappointment, the weight is generally not in direct proportion to the price. It's usually in inverse proportion: the lighter the laptop the higher the price.

Check the Screen

An important element in a laptop is the screen. Opposed to regular computer screens, screen sizes such as 12. 1 inches, 13. 1 inches, 14 inches and so on can be found. A bigger screen size means larger work space, but also increased battery consumption and shorter work time.
